Networking seems to be the in thing at the moment but a question I would always ask myself before going to an event was;

How will my business benefit from this networking event?

After attending a few events it became clear to me that networking was all about meeting  some local business contacts who would hopefully help me to spread the word about my business as I would about theirs.  Word of mouth is still one of the best forms of advertising!

I try and get to as many local, no pressure, networking events as I can and recently I decided to run my own event here at Owen Pine and Oak and to hold it close to Christmas and have it as a free event with some port tasting by a local importer from a small shop called Gorgeous George

I will be holding a raffle on the night in support of  Harris Hospis Care in the Bromley area, who aims to improve the quality of life of its patients through the provision of specialist palliative care.
